Doctors are overworked, burnt out, and quitting in large numbers.

This company combines a deep understanding of clinicians’ needs with cutting-edge AI and fast-paced execution to build products that truly make healthcare professionals happier.

The first product is an AI scribe that automates medical documentation.

Since May 2023, the company has:

  • Acquired 20,000 paying and loyal clinician users
  • Generated 70,000 patient notes daily, surpassing 2 million monthly
  • Genuinely improved the day-to-day experience of thousands of clinicians

With backing from top-tier investors including Sequoia Capital, the team is rapidly expanding its product suite. From patient-facing assistants and insights to EHR integrations, these solutions are already in use by thousands of healthcare professionals daily.

The team is looking for entrepreneurs—fast-moving, ambitious individuals who want to support those who care for others. You’ll be surrounded by dedicated, clinician-focused colleagues who bring intensity, curiosity, and a drive to win.

With offices in both San Francisco and New York City, the company embraces a hybrid model, encouraging in-person collaboration three days per week to spark creativity and connection.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to make a meaningful impact in healthcare. You’ll balance hands-on coding with team leadership, managing 3–4 engineers. As a player-coach, you’ll uphold engineering quality, nurture team growth, and work cross-functionally with product and design to deliver clinician-focused solutions. There’s also significant scope to help shape the broader engineering organization as the company scales.

HOW YOU’LL HAVE IMPACT

  • Lead a small, talented engineering team with clarity, feedback, and support
  • Contribute directly to the codebase, owning critical features across backend (TypeScript) and frontend (React/TypeScript)
  • Collaborate with PMs and designers to ship scalable solutions in a remote-first environment
  • Apply a strong product lens to ensure everything built creates real value for users
  • Work with cutting-edge AI models (language and speech), including prompt engineering and fine-tuning
  • Build robust test coverage and design experiments to maintain product quality
  • Play a role in hiring and evolving team processes as the org grows
  • Bring passion and energy to a mission-driven environment transforming healthcare

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 6+ years in full-stack or product-focused ML engineering, including some leadership or mentorship experience
  • Strong skills in React, TypeScript, NodeJS, SQL, and Git
  • Comfort with web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, HTTP) and dev tools like VSCode or Cursor
  • A true player-coach mindset—ready to lead and build
  • Clear communicator, comfortable with fully remote work (most of the team is on West Coast hours)
  • Product intuition and a drive to deliver user value
  • Willingness to learn and apply AI tools to healthcare challenges

WHAT’S OFFERED

  • Competitive salary and equity in a high-growth company
  • The chance to make immediate impact
  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Annual company retreats
