Senior Software Engineer – Platform
As a Senior Engineer on the Platform team, you’ll design and build the infrastructure that powers the entire company ecosystem. Your work will be foundational to both customer-facing experiences and internal product development. You’ll help evolve the platform architecture to support this next stage of hypergrowth—enabling brands, agencies, and partners to scale their operations effortlessly.
You’ll collaborate across the organization to create reliable, scalable backend systems that fuel the AI-driven personalization engine and streamline everything from checkout flows to API integrations. This is a high-impact role with visibility across engineering, product, and customer teams.
What You’ll Do
- Build and scale backend services for personalization, cart functionality, and checkout flows
- Lead core infrastructure initiatives like payments systems, observability, and API modernization
- Design self-serve tools that turn manual processes into scalable product features
- Develop and maintain integrations with eCommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify)
- Drive platform reliability through effective monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Help migrate legacy services to modern fullstack JS frameworks (React, Next.js, TypeScript)
- Partner with product and customer teams to ship critical, high-ROI features quickly
- Influence architectural decisions as we scale to serve 10x more brands and users
What We’re Looking For
- Strong backend experience with Go, Python, or similar modern languages
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservice architecture
- Deep knowledge of API design and integration best practices
- Familiarity with storage technologies (SQL/NoSQL, object storage, etc.)
- Experience working in cloud environments—preferably Google Cloud Platform
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Ownership mindset with a bias toward action and high-velocity shipping
- Curiosity and drive to learn new tools, frameworks, and approaches
Bonus Points
- Experience with GraphQL and modern API ecosystems
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other orchestration tools
- Prior work in eCommerce, adtech, or subscription-based platforms
